As a G.A in the Sports Information Department at Wheeling University, I helped usher in a new era of content. I am proud to say that I introduced the “Cardinal Closeups” series, which asks athletes a series of specific questions to help our audience relate to them more. Additionally, I pitched the idea of posting short-form game highlights onto our page, and because of these changes, the Wheeling Athletics social pages have seen tremendous growth in all engagement categories.
